A Message From The Principal

Welcome to our school!

At St. Sava Orthodox School, we are deeply committed to fostering a supportive, well-rounded educational environment where our students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. As an Orthodox Christian school, we emphasize the importance of family values, faith, and a balanced approach to education. We believe that nurturing the heart, mind, and spirit of each student helps build a strong foundation for life.

As part of our commitment to excellence, we follow the Common Core State Standards in our curriculum. These standards provide a clear, consistent framework for what students should know and be able to do at each grade level, ensuring a strong foundation in core subjects like English Language Arts and Mathematics.

Our dedicated teachers work to bring these standards to life in ways that engage and challenge each student, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills. With a close-knit community and a low student-teacher ratio, we offer a personalized learning experience from K3 to 8th grade. Our dedicated teachers know each student’s unique strengths, ensuring that every child is challenged and supported in a way that brings out their best.

Alongside core academics, we are proud to offer enriching specials, including music, gym, and art, which allow students to explore their creative and physical potential. Weekly religion classes deepen our students’ understanding of faith, while our daily Serbian language lessons help keep them connected to our cultural heritage. For our Russian-speaking students, we offer Russian classes three times a week, ensuring they stay connected to their native language and culture.  At St. Sava Orthodox School, we are more than a school; we are a family. We believe that when families, faith, and academics come together, children thrive in every way. Thank you for considering St. Sava Orthodox School as a place for your child’s growth, learning, and lifelong friendships.

Warmly,

Jelena Rosich, M.A.Ed.
