Reading Language Arts
● Demonstrate understanding of text by asking and answering questions, determining main ideas,
and summarizing key details.
● Analyze characters, plot, theme, and setting in literature, comparing and contrasting elements
across different texts.
● Gather information from non-fiction sources, organizing, summarizing, and drawing conclusions.
● Apply various strategies (e.g., keywords, maps, photographs) to comprehend diverse texts.
● Decode unfamiliar words using grade-level phonics and word analysis skills.
● Develop vocabulary by understanding the meaning of words and phrases within context.
● Cultivating a love of reading by creating a project/presentation monthly book talk.
Math
● Develop fluency and accuracy in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.
● Understand and apply fraction concepts, including adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions.
● Begin working with decimals, understanding their place value and perform basic operations.
● Recognize and classify geometric shapes, explore their properties, and solve related problems.
● Measure length, weight, capacity, and time using various units and tools.
● Collect, organize, and analyze data to represent it in different ways, drawing conclusions.
● Develop effective problem-solving strategies and apply them to various mathematical situations.
● Collaborate effectively with classmates to solve problems and learn from each other.
Science

● Explore life science topics like plan and animal adaptations, and ecosystems.
● Investigate physical science concepts like matter, energy, forces, and motion.
● Communicate scientific findings effectively through written reports, presentations, and
discussions.
● Develop collaborative skills by working effectively in teams during experiments and projects.
Social Studies
● Demonstrate understanding of historical events and figures, analyzing their impact on societies.
● Analyze and interpret geographical features maps and data to understand diverse regions.
● Explore and compare forms of government and civic participation.
